Mentoring Program In an effort to offer our members more service, an opportunity to grow as a PM, and the ability to earn PDUs the chapter is pleased to announce our Project Manager Mentoring Program . PDUs can be earned through using the mentoring sessions as resources of a Self-directed Learning Activity. "Self-directed Learning Activities" are the 2sdl category on the PDU application form.
For the purposes of this program, the definition of the mentoring relationship is a deliberate pairing or grouping of more skilled or experienced person(s) with less skilled or experienced person(s) to help the latter to grow and develop specific skills.
A mentor is an experienced professional in project management, who voluntarily acts as a friend, advisor and coach to a less experienced project management professional or student.
A mentee is relatively new professional in the field of project management or a student who seeks the experience, advice and counsel of a more experienced project management professional to assist in their personal and professional development.
Any chapter member may participate in the mentoring program; however, only PMPs can earn PDU credit. To participate in the mentoring program or to find out more information contact the Mentoring Liaison. |
